BRTA announces Drug Take Back Day collection sites

TAPPAHANNOCK—Bay Rivers Telehealth Alliance (BRTA) recently announced several area DEA Drug Take Back Day events from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, October 25, associated with National Prescription Drug Take Back month.

BRTA members and area sheriff’s offices have joined the Take Back initiative to help with the proper disposal of unused or expired drugs at collection sites in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck and Eastern Shore regions, reported BRTA business manager Darlene Randall-McCoy.

BRTA also supports the year-round availability of drug disposal with drop boxes at Ledwith Lewis Free Clinic in Tappahannock and the sheriff’s offices in Lancaster, Middlesex and Westmoreland counties.
