HOPEWELL—Brunhilde “Hilda” Hitze Boughman 73, went on to the land of glory. She passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell.
She was born in Frankfort, Germany to the late Herman Hitze and Brunhilde Moerschel Hitze.
Hilda lived in the Raleigh/Durham area and worked at Harris Teeter in the deli where she made lots of friends.
She was married to the late James “Jim” Ray Boughman, who preceded her in death on March 21, 2009.
She has three daughters, Michele Haynie (Richard) of Parksley, Amy Grubbs (Leroy) of Charles City and Heidi McNeal (Ron) of West Point. She has six grandchildren. She loved all of her girls and grandchildren so much. The family will have a celebration of her life at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 7, at Samaria Baptist Church in Providence Forge.
