On July 26, the Rebekah Circle of Bethany United Methodist Church (BUMC), Reedville, conducted Christmas Cookies in July.
This community service project is held during the last week of July each year, reported chairman Kim Schmidt. The purpose is to bring cheer and home-baked Christmas cookies to selected area shut-ins, residents who are ill or infirm, those who have been bereaved in the past year and the nursing staff at two Kilmarnock senior living centers where recipients reside.
Recipients need not be a past or present member of BUMC….
