WEEMS—More than 60 volunteers gathered early Thanksgiving morning at Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church in Weems to pack and deliver 121 turkey dinners to people in Lancaster County who might otherwise have had no holiday meal.
The tradition that started 39 years ago has expanded into a collaboration among Campbell, Sharon Baptist, Claybrook Baptist and White Stone Baptist, which provides next-day meals for recipients.
