The Cape Dory Typhoon fall racing series opened Wednesday, August 20. The Rappahannock River Yacht Club (RRYC) has hosted spring and fall racing for area Typhoon sail boats for over a decade.
On any given race night, eight to 15 Cape Dory Typhoons will gather on the Rappahannock River just outside Carter Creek and participate in a series of short races, usually three, for six consecutive Wednesday evenings, culminating with the selection of a series champion based on their finishing positions over the series….
