KILMARNOCK—The Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department Firemen’s Festival opens tonight, July 28, on the KVFD Carnival Grounds, 200 Waverly Avenue, Kilmarnock. The carnival continues through August 6, except Sunday. Hours are 7-10 p.m. weeknights and 7-11 p.m. Saturdays.

“We are excited to be hosting the most well-loved carnival in the entire Northern Neck for the 87th year,” said KVFD Firemen’s Festival president Adam Wood. “We look forward to seeing everyone out at the carnival and please let us know which you like more—the funnel cake or our famous cheeseburgers!”

Tickets are available for the carnival grand prize, a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 4X4 Crew Cab pickup. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the carnival as supplies last. The grand prize drawing will be held at 11:30 p.m. on August 6.
