
Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury (RWC) is thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Irma Burke, a beloved resident, as she reached the incredible milestone of her 109th birthday on Wednesday, September 25.
Born and raised in White Stone, Mrs. Burke grew up on a family farm with her five siblings. She and her husband, W.R. Burke, shared a loving marriage and had a daughter, Catharine Moore. After her husband’s passing in 1946, Mrs. Burke found fulfillment working at the Bank of White Stone and volunteering with Rappahannock General Hospital.
Mrs. Burke’s connection to RWC runs deep, reported activities manager Rebecca Mahoney. Both her mother and sister were residents, making her decision….
