
St. Mary’s Whitechapel Episcopal Church, 5940 White Chapel Road, Lively, will host a fall Walking Celtic Service at 4 p.m. Saturday, October 19.
“The world around and within us is always in a state of change and what better way to process this reality than to walk a spell, breathe in the fresh fall air, see the natural world at work preparing for winter and listening for what is changing deep within,” said Anne Clewell.
To paraphrase John Philip Newell, “Celtic” is the belief in the essential goodness of creation and within our deepest self the image of the creator.
Participants will meet in the outdoor labyrinth and then walk a very short forest path together, said Clewell. Along the way they will stop for some quiet, Celtic prayer, poetry and music. They will return to….
