JACKSONVILLE, FLA.—Charles Edward Tellis, 75, of Jacksonville, Fla., died December 4, 2019, at the McGraw Center for Hospice in Jacksonvile.
He was born December 31, 1943, in Irvington to the late John Linwood Tellis and Annie Smith Tellis.
Charles retired from Phillip Morris in Richmond after 31 years of service. He has been a resident of Jacksonville for the last 19 years.
He is survived by his children, Terry Tellis Harman of Florida, Kimberly Tellis Richardson of Richmond and Elizabeth Tellis Smith of Germany; six grandchildren, Pryce, Gunar, Jacob Harman and Jackson, Grayson, Avery Smith; and sister, Phyllis Tellis Herriges of Richmond.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Shirley Jean Barnes and Betty Sangster; brother, John Linwood Tellis; daughter, Lisa Marie Tellis; and son, Keith Edward Tellis.
A visitation was held from noon-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock, prior to a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Irvington Baptist Church in Irvington.
