Charles Harrison Williams III will serve as the orator for the Holly Ball on December 28 at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club.
The Holly Ball is a black tie invitational charity event to benefit the Tidewater Foundation. Proceeds reach the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula communities through grants. Each year the Holly Ball queen selects a member of the community to provide the annual oration on a topic relating to the spirit and origin of the ball, reported publicity chairman Patricia Gallagher.
Queen Elle McKee Williams has chosen Mr. Williams to speak at the 126th ball. He is the owner and operator of Reedville Marina and the Crazy Crab Restaurant. He grew up in Reedville and graduated Northumberland schools, after which he attended R.P.I. in Richmond.
Mr. Williams served in the Navy from 1967-69. He was chief pilot for Zapata-Haynie Corp. for 18 years and served seven years as general manager for Ampro….
