Chesapeake Academy’s annual auction due May 4

Chesapeake Academy’s 42nd annual auction/dinner, Lights, Camera, Auction! A Celebration of Arts and Innovation will be held at 6 p.m. May 4 on the Rowe Campus, 107 Steamboat Road, Irvington.

This entertaining event is always a hit, reported development associate Catherine Emry. Auction proceeds support innovative educational programs that teach children to be eager learners and excellent citizens. In addition, auction proceeds ensure that Chesapeake Academy can provide financial assistance for families and arts programs for the community.

Auction items will include trips, gifts, services, products and experiences for all ages and price points. BidPal technology will allow patrons to preview and bid online beginning in April, and also will allow event sponsors to advertise their services via live links.

Raffle tickets are available to purchase at Specials Wine Seller in Kilmarnock or at the school. Raffle tickets are $10 each and the prize is $500 cash.

Tickets to attend the event are $100 per person including everything but auction purchases. Dinner will be provided by Willaby’s Catering with beer, spirits and a specialty cocktail hosted by IsaBell K. Horsley Real Estate and wine provided by Specials Wine Seller.

Chesapeake Academy relies on the many generous individuals and businesses of the Northern Neck for the success of this auction, and procurement is underway, said Emry.
