
The Second Saturday Speaker Series will continue April 11 at the Steamboat Era Museum, 156 King Carter Drive, Irvington. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. and the program will follow from 2-3:30 p.m.
Larry Chowning will present “How Steamboats Shaped the Northern Neck.”
Chowning, author of eight books, is a native of Middlesex County and has lived there his entire life except for the four years he spent at the University of Richmond.
