Christchurch School will host the Phipps Futsal House Classic January 28 and 29. A boys indoor soccer tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and a girls indoor soccer tournament will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The tournaments are open to anyone in grades 9-12, said Christchurch School soccer coach Matt Schaefer, VISAA Division II Coach-of-the-Year.
The Phipps Futsal House Classic will be held in Phipps Field House at Christchurch School, 49 Seahorse Lane, Christchurch.
Phipps Field House holds two full-size futsal fields and will field a maximum of 16 teams for the boys and 12 for the girls.
There is no charge to participate. Participants will meet VISAA Division II Player-of-the-Year Ignacio Rodriguez De Torres. For reservations, contact Coach Schaefer at mschaefer@christchurchschool.org.
