Church Hill Academy stops LHS winning streak, 50-38

Lancaster High School suffered its first loss in varsity boys basketball to a private school in the east end of Richmond last Saturday.

Church Hill Academy held the Devils to their lowest output of the season during an eight-team showcase at King’s Fork High School in Suffolk. The Phantoms beat LHS, 50-38, in the low-scoring game to put the Red Devils at 9-1 overall.

Lancaster was supposed to open Northern Neck District play last week against Colonial Beach but had that game postponed because of weather. The Devils were originally scheduled to go to Western Albemarle last Saturday but had that game canceled because….
