Responding to the COVID-19 crisis, the Church Street Four recently made a donation to Healthy Harvest Food Bank.
For several months, a steering committee comprised of two representatives each from Abiding Faith Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, Living Water Lutheran Church and St. Andrews Presbyterian Church had been working on the plans for a community meal they hoped to sponsor in January 2021, said Living Water Lutheran Church assistant pastor, the Rev. Judy Thomson.
The four churches—calling themselves the Church Street Four—had formed an alliance in 2015. It was at the time of the shooting deaths of nine members of Mother Emanuel A.M.E.
