Churches announce Christmas services

This reminder of the season, depicting the birth of Jesus Christ, welcomes worshippers to Claybrook Baptist Church as well as visitors to the community of Weems. Darlene Griffin donated the nativity scene to the church in memory of Donald Benson Sr. in the 1980s. Claybrook Baptist will host a candlelight service at 6 p.m. Sunday December 23.

Several area churches plan special Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services Monday, December 24, and Tuesday, December 25. The public is invited to join local congregations in worship to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
