Allure Art Center, 419 Rappahannock Drive, White Stone, recently announced “Coastal Inspirations” will open today, February 10.
The exhibit showcases the work of two award-winning Virginia artists, reported Allure founder Jeff Cherry. The works of Catherine Hillis, a watercolor painter, and Joseph Burrough, an oil painter, will be featured in the exhibit and will prove that oil and water mix well.
The 35 original paintings in the exhibit take their inspiration from the coastal region and the natural beauty surrounding the sea and bay, he said.
“From blue crabs, an old watermen’s skiff, scenic salt marshes to the iconic watery sunsets, this exhibit will have you hearing the sea and feeling the salt air,” said Cherry.
