Coastal Title & Settlement LLC fall food drive is underway

by Lisa Hinton-Valdrighi

With food insecurity on the rise, Coastal Title & Settlement LLC is hoping to ease the burden on many families in the Northern Neck, according to executive marketing director Bristol Boles Barnes.

Coastal’s Community 2025 Fall Food Drive is underway with collection sites in Lancaster and Northumberland counties. Items will be collected through Tuesday, November 18.

Canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, rice, dry grains, peanut butter, canned proteins, boxed meals, cereals, bottled water and juices are among the items requested, according Barnes. Ensure all food items are sealed and within expiration dates.

“Our goal is to provide as many families as possible with a box of non-perishable food items to assist with nutrition,” said Barnes. The recipients will be kept anonymous, she said.

Collection sites in Kilmarnock include Keller Williams-Rivers & Bay, Stylish Eyes, Middle Bay Reality, Chandler’s Firearms, C&D Music, Rittenhouse & Moxie Salon, Liz Moore & Associates, Ross’s Fine Jewelers, COMPASS Entertainment Complex. Isabell K. Horsely Real Estate in White Stone is also a drop off site.

In Northumberland County, donations may be dropped at Middle Bay Realty in Burgess and in Callao at Shore Realty Inc. and Joe Self Realty, Inc.

“To show our gratitude to the participating businesses and the community for all the donations, Coastal Title & Settlement LLC will be matching each donation received dollar for dollar,” said Barnes.

Anyone who knows someone in need, contact Barnes at 436-3006, Karen Mabe at 480-0722 or email at processing@ctsllc.biz.

Owned by Mabe, Coastal Title was formerly Real Estate Settlement Services LLC. The company went through a rebrand in May 2025 and does not have a brick and mortar location but offers closing services where it best suits clients.
