The Cobbs Hall Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) will hold its annual meeting at 4 p.m. Monday, April 7, at St. Mary’s Whitechapel Episcopal Church, 5940 White Chapel Road, Lancaster.
Prior to the meeting, members and guests are invited to a special tour of the historic church and grounds at 2:30 p.m., led by Page Henley, a retired attorney, historian, conservationist, church member and grandson of the chapter’s founding regent, Bessie Peirce, wife of the late Dr. Peirce of Nuttsville.
The tour will offer a glimpse into the church’s history, dating back from 1669, and highlight the significance of individuals interred on its grounds, including Revolutionary War patriot Lt. Col. James Ball Jr., whose grave marker was….
