Cobia biting

Fishing Thursday, June 17, aboard David Traub’s vessel with Capt. Bob Reed, four anglers new to cobia wasted no time hooking up this 45-inch cobia in the Rappahannock River.  From left are Bill Small, Traub, Capt. Reed, Emory Williams and Fred Talmore. Fresh chum and live eels induced the big fish to bite the hook. “We are having an awesome bite at this time and expect this fishery to last through September,” said Capt. Reed.
