Maryland-based Colonel Richardson held Lancaster well below its rushing average on Friday, October 4, and kept the Red Devils out of the end zone for a 56-0 shutout in varsity football.

The Devils gained 106 yards on the ground with Zaden Veney leading the way with 10 rushes for 52 yards. Demarcus Howard carried the ball 11 times for 31 yards and Porter Pittman had nine carries for 24 yards.
Pittman put the ball in the air seven times for two completions, both to Veney, for 10 yards.
Lancaster, 2-3, will host Northumberland tomorrow, October 11. The Indians are 3-1 and come off a two-week break. The game is the Northern Neck District opener for both teams and homecoming for Lancaster. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
