The Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce Kilmarnock Lighted Christmas Parade lit up Main Street on Friday, December 8. Excited crowds began lining up early to catch the parade filled with bands, floats, boats and trucks.
The parade, with “A Nautical Christmas” theme, was hosted by the Chamber in partnership with the town of Kilmarnock. The parade was presented by Dominion Energy with sponsors Blue Ridge Bank, Tri-Star Supermarket and Northern Neck Electric Cooperative.
The Lancaster County Public Schools entry (above), featuring students and positive character traits, won the Spirit of Christmas Award. Other winners included Grand Marshal, Chesapeake Bank; Judges, Northern Neck Electric Cooperative; Chamber of Commerce, Blue Ridge Bank; Youth Entry, Chesapeake Academy; Scout, Girl Scout Troop #937; and the Ryan Wilcox Award, Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department.
