Dances are an event that everyone should be able to remember for their entire lives.
For some young ladies, it is easy to get the dress of their dreams. For others, it can come as a struggle.
The Kiwanis Builders’ Club and K’Kids of Lancaster Middle School will host their first “Belle of the Ball” dress extravaganza in April for the high school prom as well as the eighth grade dance, reported LMS seventh grade English teacher and club sponsor Allyson Umstead.
This event will give all girls a chance for a real dress-shopping experience complete with refreshments for a very small fee. Any girl who comes and participates will automatically be entered in a drawing as well, said Umstead. Prizes will come from Yours Truly, Wild Bunch, Shear Pleasure, SmartStyle, KCs and Sals.
Additional businesses are urged to participate. Contact Umstead at LMS or aumstead@lcs.k12.va.us; or Christabelle D’Silva at LMS or cd-silva@lcs.k12.va.us.
