Concerts to celebrate Beethoven’s birthday

The Northern Neck Orchestra will celebrate the 250th year of Beethoven’s birth in 1770 with an all-Beethoven concert March 27 at the Lancaster Middle School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock and March 28 at the Northumberland High School Theater, 201 Academic Lane, Heathsville.

The program will include the stirring Overture to King Stephen, the grand Symphony No. 1 and the virtuoso Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano with soloists concertmaster and principal violinist Moises Cunha, music director and pianist Michael Repper and award-winning guest cellist 18-year-old Camden Archambeau.
