HEATHSVILLE—Connie Rowe Bray, 93, of Heathsville passed away peacefully at her home on August 28, 2024. She was the widow of Herbert H. Bray and retired office manager of Northumberland County Social Services.
Connie was born November 16, 1930, to Alleine (Neale) and Prosser Hall Rowe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her children’s father, Ennion Deihl; her sister, Betty Rowe Corsa; and two grandchildren, Kimaya Brown and Brandon Haynie.
Connie is survived by her two daughters, Susan Deihl Haynie (Johnny) of Reedville and Janet F. Deihl of Heathsville; grandchildren, Ashley LaChance (Andrew), Danielle Valdeleon (Gabriel) and Daniel Deihl; great-grandchildren Katelyn L. Haynie and Leilani Valdelon; and her best friend, Rosemary Thornton.
Connie was an active member of Heathsville United Methodist Church, and very active with the Mid County Rescue Squad Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7, at Heathsville United Methodist Church, with family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Episcopal Church Cemetery.
