The 39th annual Kilmarnock Lighted Christmas Parade will step off at 7 p.m. December 8.
The parade is sponsored by the Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce and their partners Lancaster County Economic Development Authority, the Lancaster County Board of Supervisors and Dominion Energy.
“We are pleased to announce this year’s grand marshals—Alice Cooper and Vera Lee, from the Lancaster Community Library,” announced chamber executive director Anne Paparella.
“Cooper is a welcome addition to our community serving as the director of the Lancaster Community Library and she also served as the director of the Northumberland Public Library,” said Paparella. “Lee has worked for the Lancaster Community Library for four years in the children’s library and operated the Lancaster Community Library’s storymobile. We are delighted to honor their service to the community through our ‘A Storybook Christmas’ theme.”
