Court imposes $15,000 fine in pig nuisance case

LANCASTER—On Friday, February 15, Lancaster County Circuit Court Judge R. Michael McKenney imposed a $15,000 fine on Janice Baylor after she failed to meet a final February 9 deadline to remove all animals from her Iberis Road property.

On December 4, 2023, Baylor pleaded no contest to creating a public nuisance involving the pigs on her property and failing to contain them properly. As conditions of her plea, Baylor agreed to relocate the estimated 100 pigs and two horses by February 2. A $25,000 fine was….
