LORETTO—Northern Neck Land Conservancy on Saturday, October 4, presented Lake and Ellen Cowart the 2025 Helen and Tayloe Murphy Conservation Champion Award at its Boots and Barbecue event.
Since 2015, the Land Conservancy has recognized people in the community who support protection of the rural character of the Northern Neck in a significant way. Last year, the award was renamed to honor conservation leaders Helen and Tayloe Murphy.
