The Virginia Department of Transportation project to replace three drainage pipes under River Road at Deep Creek in Lancaster County with a concrete box culvert is underway.
River Road will be closed to traffic between Mary Ball and White Chapel roads for six months. Signs will guide motorists along the recommended 4-mile detour route, traversing Nuttsville and Morattico roads.
