Curry’s free throw makes the difference

Senior Nia Curry didn’t crack under the pressure…and there was a lot of it.

“It was the craziest ending to a game, but she kept her cool,” said LHS varsity girls basketball coach Joanne Webb-Fary.

Curry sank her only free throw of the night with three-tenths of a second remaining on the clock to break a tie and give LHS a 35-34 win over Rappahannock last Thursday night.

With the game tied at 34, Curry went to the line for two shots.
