Cynthia A. B. Byrd

KING GEORGE—Cynthia Ann Baylor Byrd died May 18, 2020.

Cynthia was  born to June Baylor Scott and William Scott Sr. in Washington, D.C., on June 25, 1961.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in King George. Cynthia graduated from King George High School in 1979, where she was a member of the girls basketball team and cheerleader squad. She was married to Nathaniel Byrd Jr.

She is preceded in death by her mother, June Baylor Scott; and brother, William “Tutu” Scott Jr.

She is survived by her father, William A. Scott Sr. of King George; daughters, Shanel Byrd and D’Angela Byrd, both of King George; sister, Angie Tyler-Tann of Richmond; brothers, Edmond Baylor of Richmond, John Scott of King George, Omar Scott of Aurora, Ill., and James Monroe of King George; stepsister, Cassandra Wiley of Columbia, Md.; eight grandchildren, Saniyah Byrd, Tamia Byrd, Demonte Washington, NiKiyah Byrd, Taylynn Scott, Toni Scott, Jahmir Green and Jeremiah Byrd.
