HEATHSVILLE—David Robert Pitt of Heathsville died on December 7, 2021.
He was born on May 26, 1952, to the late John Clyde Pitt and Louise Kidd Pitt.
After moving to the Northern Neck from Baltimore, he met and married his wife of 34 years, Jean Abbott Pitt.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Rebecca Claire Pitt; daughter, Christina Pitt Wright (Ed); son, Eric (Lisa); daughter, Stephanie Heuerman; six grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a member of Wicomico Baptist Church.
David was a veteran of the Army National Guard, serving six years with the 224th Avn Co (Atk Hel) in Bel Air, Maryland, obtaining the rank of sergeant. His last position in service was as a UH-1 Crew Chief. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Adams Post 86 in Kilmarnock.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
