Del. Kent presents proclamation recognizing championship team

Del. Hillary Pugh Kent made a stop at Lancaster High School on Saturday, October 24, to recognize the achievement of a group of young ladies who excelled on the softball field.

The 2025 Lancaster County Little League Senior Softball All Stars team, which won the Virginia tournament championship, was recognized during the Lancaster High School homecoming on Saturday, October 24. Del. Hillary Pugh Kent presented the team a General Assembly resolution. Del. Kent presented coach Bruce Northern and players a framed copy of Virginia General Assembly House Joint Resolution No. 69, which commended the Lancaster County Little League 2025 Senior Softball team on winning the state championship and representing the Commonwealth in the Senior Southeast Regional Tournament in Tennessee.

The team was the first Lancaster senior girls team to win a state championship. Lancaster went 5-1 in the state tournament after winning the District 7 tournament.
