HEATHSVILLE—The board meeting room at the Lancaster County Administration Building was nearly full Thursday, July 25, with area residents concerned about what could potentially happen to their homes and neighborhood as a result of a zoning decision.
Northern Neck Marine Construction (NNMC) was seeking a special exception to operate a marine construction business at the former site of Callis Seafood on Town Creek. Although zoned residential, the property at 353 Callis Road near Millenbeck was in commercial use before county zoning laws, which means that it can continue or expand in commercial use with approval from the board.
