TOPPING—Dirt Bridge Road in Middlesex County reopened May 1 after Virginia Department of Transportation crews finished an emergency repair project.
Dirt Bridge Road closed to through traffic on April 4 due to a drainage pipe failure, reported public affairs manager Kelly Hannon. Crews installed two new concrete drainage pipes. Each pipe is 40 feet long and 48 inches in diameter. New pipe headwalls also were installed.
