The Northumberland County Chapter of the American Red Cross and neighbors have joined to raise funds for those in areas recently impacted by hurricanes.
A disaster relief concert is planned Saturday, October 14, reported executive director Shirley Grant.
The concert will be held at 6 p.m. at the Northumberland County High School Auditorium, 201 Academic Lane, Claraville. The fee is $25 and pledges will be taken throughout the concert.
Concert performers will include Cheryl Brown Davis, Thomasine McCoy Acree, Celeste and Mark Gates, Sherry Tarelton, Janine Wright, Joyce Lee and Roger Himler.
“Our goal is to raise $10,000,” said Grant. “Come out and help us help others.”
