Dolphin seminar is May 17

Smith Point Sea Rescue and Reedville Fishermen’s Museum will present a free public seminar from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Festival Halle, 177 North Main Street, Reedville.

The speaker is Dr. Helen Bailey, a research associate professor at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, reported Smith Point Sea Rescue vice president Jim Bullard.

Little is known about how often dolphins come into the Chesapeake Bay, how long they spend here, what areas they are using and why, said Bullard.
