Dominion underwater transmission line project continues on schedule

Commuters traveling on the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge catch a glimpse of Dominion’s temporary work platforms, where transmission cables will be connected before being submerged beneath the riverbed.

WHITE STONE—Dominion Energy’s construction of underwater transmission lines across the Rappahannock River is right on schedule and is expected to be completed by the end of next year, according to Dominion’s strategic project advisor Bob Humphreys.

“We’ve seen successes in our drilling operating and also other things in the project were well executed and are a testament to our hard-working crews, their safety and excellence, on-site every day, Humphreys said.
