Dr. Julia King to give NNK250 lecture

The Northern Neck 250 Signature Speaker Series will continue at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern (RHHT), 73 Monument Place, Heathsville. Dr. Julia King will present “Finding Leedstown: What Archeology Reveals about this Remarkable Place.” The lecture is free.

Dr. King will speak about an unusual archeological discovery made in 1937 in Leedstown. The find led to similar discoveries in modern museums throughout the country and sparked intriguing questions about the history of the site.
