A celebration of Earth Day will highlight the season-opening Heathsville Farmers Market Saturday, April 15. Sponsored by Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern (RH/HT), 73 Monument Place, Heathsville, the market operates from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and will host over 50 vendors, plus a wine tasting festival.
A fleet of electric cars from Drive Electric RVA will make an appearance at the Earth Day celebration. Other exhibitors will include the Northern Neck Soil & Water Conservation District, Northern Neck Master Naturalists, Northumberland County Anti-Litter Committee, Virginia Bluebird Society and Rappahannock Wildlife Refuge. The Earth Day celebration is sponsored by the Northumberland Association for Progressive Stewardship.
Market vendors will include Franco Produce, Summer Duck Farm, Village Farms, Captain Tom’s, Reedville Coffee Roasters, Whitley’s Gourmet Peanuts, Pampered Chef, Cyndi’s Pepper Jelly, plus many other artisans selling handcrafted….
