LIVELY—Eileen Catherine Santangelo, 71, of Lively, formerly of Blue Point, New York, passed away November 14, 2022.
She is survived by her children, Amanda Sullivan (Kevin), Diana Bongiorno (Thomas), Laura Callari, Gina Rogacki (Michael), Chrissy Santangelo (Marcus), Louise Kellum (Rodney), Melissa Saunders (Robert), Louis Santangelo Jr. (Jessica) and Anthony Santangelo (Rachel); 17 grandchildren, Zachary, Gracelynn, Michael, James, Kelsey, Tyler, Aidan, Bryan, Robert, Chloe, James, Samantha, Evelyn, Rachael, Adelaide, Stella and Margaret; and one great-grandchild, Grayson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John William Schroeder and Adelaide Sussman Schroeder; and the love of her life, her husband of 48 years, Louis Santangelo.
Eileen was a devoted, loving wife, mother, Grammy and Great Grammy. She loved to cook big meals for her family, having her family gather for holidays, especially Christmas and laughing with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and watching Shirley Temple movies and a good game of solitaire.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 18, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
