Entertainment complex to open in spring of 2020

This rendering shows the Compass Entertainment Complex coming to the Northern Neck in the spring of 2020. The Lancaster board of supervisors on July 25 approved a request to allow developers to exceed the county’s commercial building height restrictions and build to the requested 40 feet.

KILMARNOCK—Lancaster County-based business owners Julien Patterson and Terri Wesselman are working on plans to bring family fun, entertainment and community engagement to the Northern Neck in 2020.

The civic-minded business duo’s latest venture, Compass Entertainment Complex, will be a multi-screen movie theater and family entertainment center near the Hills Quarter community on Irvington Road between Kilmarnock and Irvington, as part of the approved comprehensive plan. Tentative plans call for a spring 2020 opening.
