LANCASTER—Everett H. Warren III, 81, died peacefully at home on April 26, 2024, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, his younger brother, his children, grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
He was born on October 9, 1942, and raised in Alderson, W.Va. The family moved to Alexandria for his senior year of high school. There he made a lifelong friend who introduced him to the Northern Neck. It was love at first site and he continued to frequent the area’s fishing and hunting grounds for decades.
Dreams came true in 1990 when he and his wife were able to build a “come here” heaven where they spent countless weekends until they were able to call it home in 2011.
There will be a celebration of life at his home in Lancaster, beginning at noon on June 29.
He would appreciate any donations in his memory be made to Tunnel to Towers, Shriners Hospital for Children, or the American Heart Association.
Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
