Route 360 travelers crossing the Downing Bridge over the Rappahannock River between Richmond County and the Town of Tappahannock can expect brief delays next week as the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) performs a routine, scheduled bridge inspection.
Route 360 will be reduced to a single lane from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday, June 24, through Friday, June 28, weather permitting, reported public affairs manager Kelly Hannon.
Automated flagging devices will direct one-way, alternating traffic through the work zone, controlled by members of a flagging crew. Emergency vehicles will always be permitted to pass.
Message boards will be posted at both bridge approaches to alert travelers to this upcoming work zone and potential delays.
