Fairfields United Methodist Church, 14741 Northumberland Highway, Burgess, will celebrate its 230th anniversary at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, August 25.
The community is invited to come hear Francis Asbury, aka Rick Davis, who preached on Christmas Day 1788, said music director Barbara Hays. On his prior visit, Asbury wrote, “I preached in the open house at Fairfields…”
