The Northumberland Public Library on Saturday, October 17, held a Fall Festival. Wind and rain brought the festivities inside, but it did not dampen the fun. Fall themed crafts, games and snacks greeted those who visited. From left, Gracelyn Reynolds, Abigail Smart, Hannah Laird and Jessna Knowlton were collectively creative in painting mini pumpkins. Author and library community outreach supervisor Arthur S. Newman highlighted the collectible cards that accompany his book That’s Why I Love Dragons. Newman said a special signature card worth $1,000 is out in the community and he’s just waiting for some lucky child to turn it in. The card packs were distributed and sold through events at the Boys & Girls Club, Heathsville Farmers Market, the YMCA and Northumberland Elementary School. Photo by Jackie Nunnery
