The Northern Neck Chapter 1823 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, at the Wicomico Parish Church, 5191 Jessie Ball duPont Highway, Wicomico Church. Light refreshments will be served. The Chapter 1823 executive board will meet at noon.
With the 25th anniversary of 9/11 approaching, Lucia Schoelwer will discuss how that attack changed not just the country, but her career. Working at the Central Intelligence Agency for 25 years, she was involved in some intriguing clandestine operations and had a front-row seat to a lot of history in the making.
