The Northern Neck Family YMCA’s 23rd annual Festival of the Trees will be a virtual event, held December 5. The theme will be “Silver Linings.”
“In the face of the many unknowns and uncertainties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a significant increase in families looking for help,” said center executive Liz Allen. “They are looking for child care. They are looking for help during their child’s virtual classroom options with school. They are looking for a place to be active. They have turned to the Y for assistance and support.”
Many are asking, against the troublesome landscape of this pandemic: are there any “silver linings?” The YMCA’s answer is, “yes!”
