Fiber guild season will open Sept. 14

In June, the Five Rivers Fiber Guild visited incoming president Nan Harvey’s sheep farm in Lancaster County. Past president Carol Sennott bottle fed one of the young lambs. The group takes several field trips each year, including a docent-led visit to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond.

The Five Rivers Fiber Guild will resume its monthly meeting schedule at 10 a.m. September 14 in Art Room 2 at the Life Enrichment Center, Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury (RWC), 132 Lancaster Drive, Irvington.

Visitors and potential new members are welcome to attend, reported Laura Phelps. The program will feature a show and tell of members’ handcrafted items completed over the summer. The group will tour the display case of members’ work recently installed at RWC and presenters will discuss the items they submitted. The guild’s 2026-027 monthly program schedule will also be announced….
