The fourth annual First Africans Day at Stratford Hall will return July 27 to commemorate the enslaved Africans and African Americans who built and sustained Stratford Hall and the Lee family for generations.
Throughout the day descendants, historical interpreters and artists will gather with the public to remember and honor those once enslaved at Stratford Hall through music, art, dancing and storytelling.
First Africans Day is from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and is free. To register in advance, visit https://bit.ly/firstafricansday.
